Social Wellness
Everyone deserves to be surrounded by a supportive network of individuals, whether that be family, friends, or significant others.

Family
Spending time and forming strong connections with your family is a crucial factor in social wellness. Your family is who you rely on during difficult times. They should be the ones who love you unconditionally. Unfortunately, not everyone is privileged to be born into a healthy and caring family. I would like to remind you that family is not defined by blood relation. There is some choice in who you recognize as family.

Friends
Your friends should be people who uplift, support, and encourage you to be the best version of yourself. Take a minute to think about the people you surround yourself with. Do they respect and share your values? Are they trustworthy and kind? Do you like who you are when you are around them? When making friends it’s important to keep these questions in mind to make sure you form meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships.

Romantic Partner
Healthy relationships are built upon mutual understanding, respect, trust, support, communication, honesty, and love. Your significant other should bring out the best in you. You must reciprocate the efforts they put into the relationship. Sometimes you have to make compromises in relationships. You may disagree or fight every now and then, but what matters is how you resolve the situation and grow from it.
